Costa Rica Veterinary CE and Wellness Retreat

Mountain to Sea Retreats is going back to beautiful Costa Rica for another Veterinary Continuing Education and Wellness Retreat!

What if you could escape to a boutique ocean-front Costa Rican resort, earn 16 hours of RACE-approved CE, all while enjoying many of the experiences of a high-end wellness retreat? But instead of just feeling like a temporary escape, we will equip you with the tools needed to take back to your personal life and career so that you can thrive as a veterinary professional, and as a person.

What does the M2S Veterinary Retreat include?

- Four nights lodging at the incomparable Encantada ocean cottages of Esterillos, Costa Rica.

- Three healthy meals each day, traditional Costa rican cuisine sprinkled with American favorites. Vegetarian and vegan options available upon request.

- 16 hours Continuing Education (pending RACE approval): Anesthesia (5 hours) presented by Dr. Kate Cummings, DVM, DACVAA. Neurology (5 hours) presented by Michele James, DVM, DACVIM. The remaining 6 hours will be burnout/mental health/wellness focused and offered through Get MotiVETed University (pre-retreat homework).

- Beach-side 60 minute massage

- Guided meditation beach walk

- Somatic breathwork

- Surfing lessons

- Daily yoga practice in an open air pavilion facing the ocean

- Transportation to and from San Jose International Airport - All tips are INCLUDED

(See attached sample itinerary. Event schedule is subject to change)

Price includes almost everything you'll need apart from your flight to SJO and money for souvenirs.

*Alcohol is not included. If you choose to consume alcohol, the legal drinking age in Costa Rica is 18 years.

American dollars are accepted everywhere and can be used for additional purchases if you choose.

Investment:

There are only 7 ocean cottages at Encantada, and this is a community experience designed to be enjoyed with friends. We encourage you to gather some vet school friends for a reunion, or sign up together with your work buddies.

Each cottage has multiple beds (anywhere from 3-5), and the pricing is incentivized to encourage participants to share cottages so more people can join us for this special retreat.

$3200: total cost per person if TWO people share a cottage

$3100: total cost per person if THREE people share a cottage

$3000: total cost per person if FOUR+ people share a cottage

Non-veterinary partners may join us with all of the same offerings except CE lectures. Cost is the same as above minus $600. Unfortunately this would not be the best conference to bring children.

Options are limited and cottages will be assigned on a first come first serve basis.

We cannot wait to host you for this unique opportunity!

Cancellation Policy:

Deposit (minimum $500) is due at time of booking. Deposit is 100% refundable up to 90 days before start of event, and is nonrefundable thereafter.
