Wine & Winds is your excuse to hit pause and trade all of that for four unforgettable nights of mahjong, French wine, ocean breezes, incredible cuisine, and the kind of laughter that leaves your cheeks sore. Come spend your days playing the game you love, exploring the French coast, and making memories with women who instantly feel like old friends.

Wake up to ocean views, spend your afternoons around the mahjong table, and end the day with incredible French food and Bordeaux wine. Whether you're working toward your line, enjoying a beach walk, or simply laughing with new friends, every day is designed to be equal parts fun, connection, and unforgettable memories.

Enjoy a guided winery tour and tasting, daily yoga, ocean swims just steps from your room, a detox in the sauna, or a plunge in the natural swimming pool. Guests will rotate through four mahjong tables playing the 2027 NML card with prizes for top finishers. Each guest will receive a custom mahjong mat by renowned Asheville artist Kala White created exclusively for this unforgettable time in Bordeaux—a meaningful keepsake of the friendships, memories, and moments of joy you take home with you.

Guests are encouraged to fly into Bordeaux and Uber 35 minutes to Villa la Tosca, or fly to Paris and take the beautiful 2.5 hour train ride to Beganos Facture train station. The Villa is an easy 25 minute Uber from the train station. Total price includes almost everything you'll need apart from transportation, travel insurance, alcohol, and gratuities.

This retreat is intentionally designed as a shared community experience—one meant to be enjoyed alongside friends, both longtime and newly discovered. All rooms are shared and roommate requests will be honored whenever possible.

La Vue | 360° Sea View - Twin Beds

As its name suggests, this suite, located on the 2nd and 3rd floors in the villa’s belvedere, takes your gaze to the marvelous horizon of the ocean and pine forest, with Arcachon and Cap Ferret in the distance. Its luxurious, peaceful and harmonious atmosphere will provide you with unforgettable moments of relaxation, totally immersed in the landscape. Here, time stands still, and you feel as if you’re suspended in the clouds. The sun gently awakens you with its delicate pink hues, and colors your evening with deep shades of orange and red.

L'Eau Vive | Sea View - Twin Beds

Located on the 1st floor, L’Eau Vive is the largest suite in Villa La Tosca. Deliciously fresh and energized, this refined 80 m2 suite lives up to its name! It features two private terraces: the first offers an exceptional view of the Bassin and the gardens, while the second overlooks our ecological swimming pool. Also accessible from the room, a vaulted loggia offers the perfect setting for a yoga or meditation session, with the murmur of the garden spring in the back- ground.

Le Bassin | 1st Floor Sea View - Twin Beds

Located on the 1st floor, Le Bassin offers access to a large vaulted loggia and a terrace from which you can admire the sunset and a magnificent view of the ocean, Arcachon and Cap Ferret. Its magnificent headboard, crafted from carved antique Chinese doors, lends it a delightfully exotic tone. Its period marble fireplace, where you can sit by the fire in winter, its original lamps whose cut-outs create a unique play of light, and its high bedside tables made by a local craftsman, all combine to create a cozy, warm atmosphere.

La Verandah | Sea View - Twin Beds

Located on the ground floor, La Vérandah immerses you in the surrounding landscape, directly connected to the garden and beach. This beautiful sea-view room opens onto a loggia/terrace where comfortable seating invites you to relax in the presence of a beautiful custom built stat- ue, whether you prefer to read, dream or simply savor the moment as you watch the squirrels play under the hundred-year-old trees.

La Forêt | 1st Floor Tree View Twin Beds

Located on the 1st floor, La Forêt is a bedroom which fully encapsulates you in warm red and orange autumn colors. The room feels like a warm hug...as you look out the window onto the beautiful oak tree tops. With its own fireplace, gold features and antique furniture/paintings its a true decade french chateau inspired style room. The en-suite bathroom features a large shower in bright white and grey tones.

Le Confort |  2nd Floor Attic King Size Bed

Located on the second floor, Le Confort is our most budget-friendly room. Perfect for mahjong friends who know each other well, this cozy retreat features a shared king bed and an open-concept bathroom with a glass shower visible from the bedroom. If you're comfortable sharing stories, laughter, and a little less privacy, Le Confort offers a charming way to save while enjoying the full retreat experience. This room boasts beautiful original pine parquet floor and soft, velvety fabrics to create a warm, intimate atmosphere. Just above the large Asian acacia wood bed, the skylight lets you glide into the night, gazing up at the starry sky.

La Source | Garden & Villa View - Twin Beds with Terrace

La Source is a peaceful and elegant room located in the garden house of Villa La Tosca, facing the beautiful carved wooden tree sculpture. With its own private terrace and outdoor lounge, it offers a calm sanctuary to unwind in nature. The 25m2 space includes a twin bed setup, a cozy seating corner, and a beautifully designed en-suite bathroom featuring natural materials and a sculpted stone sink. Soft earth tones, green accents, and organic textures give La Source a grounded, refined atmosphere — ideal for rest, reflection, and connection to the surrounding garden.

Le Papillon | Garden & Villa View - Twin Beds

Le Papillon is a whimsical, light-filled room nestled in the garden house on the grounds of Villa La Tosca. Located just in front of a beautifully carved wooden totem sculpture, it offers a sense of charm and serenity from the moment you arrive. Spanning 25m2, it features a spacious entrance, full-length mirror wardrobes, and a cozy lounge and seating area perfect for reading. The decor blends muted pinks, ochre yellow, rich browns, and deep green tones — evoking the timeless elegance of a French château with a soft contemporary touch. Being separate from the main Villa, it offers a peaceful haven of quiet and connection to the garden.

Cancellation Policy: 

Payment is 100% refundable until March 14th, 2027. Payment plans are available upon request; M2S retains the right to offer your seat to another guest if invoices are not paid on time. Cancellations between 90 and 30 days prior to event forfeit 25% of ticketed price. Nonrefundable credit toward a future Mountain to Sea Retreats program (within two years following the date of issue) will be available if you give notice between 29 days and 1 day before your event. ​No credit or refund is available if you cancel on the arrival day; if you do not show up; or if you leave an event early for any reason.

No refund will be available if you attend a program and are dissatisfied with its presentation or content.

Mountain to Sea Retreats reserves the right to cancel a program at any time. If M2S cancels a program, you will receive a full refund.
